About Creating Requisitions
In Personic WebBench, creating a new requisition is as simple as clicking a button and filling in a few fields. Personic WebBench enables you to create a requisition in one of three ways:
- From "scratch," by opening a blank requisition form and entering the necessary information
- From an existing requisition, by searching for an old requisition and saving it as a new one (this method is useful when you want to base a new requisition on one previously created)
- From a template (this feature must be enabled on your system for you to use it)
On the Requisition Main page, clicking the Create Requisitions button brings up a blank requisition form. This form contains fields for entering information about the new position. Information buttons along the top of the form take you to other pages to enter additional information. Following are the pages in which you can enter requisition information and the type of information for each:
- General Info--standard information used in most requisitions, such as the requisition ID number, number of positions available, and date needed (by default, this is the first page to appear when you create a new requisition)
- Job Details--administrative detail about the requisition, including work location, job EEO type, and salary grade
- Job Description--description of or notes on the position intended for internal use only (selected contents may be copied into the Job Posting page)
- Job Posting--information intended to be used to post job information externally, such as to an internal or external Web site
- Search Criteria--words and phrases you want the recruiter to use to search for candidates
- Interview Team--names of individuals you want the recruiter to schedule to interview this requisition's candidates (For more information on scheduling interviews, see Scheduling Interviews)
- Comments--notes or remarks on this requisition, which stay with the requisition through the hiring process
- Tracking Summary--list of all candidates "attached" to this requisition
If a field has a Browse button next to it, you can click that button to bring up a list of choices for that field. (The list is maintained by your system administrator.) Double-clicking an entry in this list selects it and populates the field. Fields marked with a yellow-highlighted "M" are mandatory: you must fill these fields in order to save the requisition.

To create a new requisition from an existing one

About Using Existing Requisitions or Templates
Clicking the From Existing or From Template buttons on the Requisition Main page brings up a Requisition Search page. This page enables you to search for the proper requisition or template on which to base the new requisition. Creating requisitions from existing ones is useful when you want to base a new requisition on one previously created, when you know much or most of the information will be the same, or when a position is too rare to merit its own template. You can create your own templates for positions for which you need to hire repeatedly and store them to use later. Once you've chosen the template or existing requisition, the procedure for filling in any blank fields is the same as for filling a blank form.
Once you've saved a new requisition, its assigned recruiter receives an alert within Personic Workflow. This alert lets the recruiter know to start seeking approval for the requisition. By default, all newly created requisitions have a status of Pending. New requisitions retain their Pending status until they are approved and a recruiter changes their status to Open. You can still make changes to Pending requisitions. You can also cancel a Pending requisition. Once a requisition's status changes to Open, however, you can no longer make changes to or cancel it within Personic WebBench. Pending requisitions are visible only to the hiring manager who created them.

Creating Templates
About Creating Templates
To create a template
- Create a new requisition, either from a blank form or from an existing requisition, as described in "To create a new requisition from a blank form" and "To create a new requisition from an existing one."
- Before saving the requisition, in the Requisition field enter a name or number for the template starting with TEMP.
- Click the Save Changes button.
About Creating Templates
You can create a template in exactly the same way you create a new requisition, with this difference: before saving a template, you must be certain its name starts with the letters TEMP. When you click the Create from Template button in the Requisition stage, Personic WebBench uses the initial text string TEMP to search for templates in the database. Note that TEMP must be the first four letters in the requisition name for Personic WebBench to consider the requisition a template; no other letters, numbers, or characters may precede them. Personic WebBench does not use a case-sensitive search when looking for these letters, however, so they may be any combination of uppercase and lowercase: Temp, temp, and teMp will all work.
