• The first finding is that the law is almost exact for total trumps of 18. It's accuracy is very good all the way from 16 to 20. But for practical purpose it is very good for up to 21 total trumps. There is very little difference between 19 to 21 hcp, 18 to 22 hcp, 17 to 23 hcp and 16 to 24 hcp.  Obviously this apply only to the total # of tricks make by both side. The side that has more hcp is going to make more tricks in the long run.
