To summarize the result opposing a 15-17 NT opening, you should force to game
if you have 10 HCL points or 10HCLS points if you have a major suit fit. A minor
suit game is a lot more difficult to define. I'll let someone else tackle that
issue. My own preference (with no computer analysis data) is to stay with 3NT
unless I know with great certainty that the opponent can run a suit.
